Children and women are the most fragile groups within the disadvantaged sections of society. Our aim is to help children to be brought up within a family environment by giving them a home and access to a solid education to guarantee a better and more secure future.
Supporting women is a great help for the whole family as they are usually the principal care provider for the family unit. For this reason we consider it very important to support projects focused on women helping them with education, incorporation in the job market and addressing gender disparity that women suffer.
Some examples of child help and woman projects during 2009:

Amigos de Rimkieta is a Fundation of friends who are dedicated to improving the life of Rimkieta people in one of the poorest neighbourhood of Ouagadougou, the capital of Burkina Faso poorest country in the world.
Support for floods that have suffered in late August.

The Ateneo San Roc Fundation team is convinced that social transformation is possible. The entity promotes socio-educational projects in the San Roc neighbourhood addressed to children, teenagers and adults focusing specially on disadvantaged sections of society.
Fundación Renta Corporación has collaborated in the Ludoteca Project, providing children with equipment for their use.

“Buena Voluntad en Acción” is a social NGO working in favour of the fourth World. Its intention is to eradicate poverty, marginalization and social exclusion by encouraging solidarity and volunteering.
During 2009 we have supported more than 50 families, giving them basic products (food and personal and housing hygiene) as well as fruit and fresh vegetables.

Last April Barcelona held the “Concierto Solidario Fundació Ared, para la integración social y laboral de mujeres en situación de exclusión” sponsored by Fundación Renta Corporación. The objective was the spreading and awareness raisings of the social exclusion that many people are suffering as a consequence of poverty of what is called the fourth world poverty. ARED plays a valuable role in the education and professionalization focussed on the textile market.

FPD’s mission is to make dreams come true for kids with chronic or terminal illness solely to bring them some joy and boost their morale, which is often the best medicine.
A national paddle championship was held in Madrid in September.

Set up to alleviate the suffering of hospitalised children through laughter by organising weekly visits by professional artists, Doctores Sonrisa, who devote time and attention to children in hospitals.
A golf tournament was held in May.

“Soñar Despierto” promotes a social action project that aims to bring children and youths in halfway houses back into society. These children come from marginalised and low income homes. This action is implemented through volunteers and the 'Amigos para Siempre' education scheme, which supports these youngsters in learning values, training and integration in the workplace in order to bring them successfully back into society.
Fundación Renta Corporación sponsored the first Golf championship held by the organisation in Vallromanes Clud de Golf to raise funds for this effort.

Is a non-profit organization founded in April 2009 in order to help welfare projects in India. It focuses on deprived and disadvantaged children.
In 2009 Fundación Privada Renta Corporación has provided hospital care for the “Casa de Acogida Antyodaya Niketan” foster care housing, covering health and hospital expenses. Educational resources including school costs, books and uniforms have also been offered.
Fundación Renta Corporación has endeavoured to be part of the solution by working with charities dealing with various health-related issues. The aim is to become actively involved in finding health care, research activities and solutions that can improve low income patients with quality of life.
Some examples of health projects during 2009:

Apsuria is a foundation dedicated to theintegration of children with cerebral palsy.
Fundación Renta Corporación provided cash support to build a home for children, specifically funding the electrotherapy room, which is extremely beneficial for this sort of disability.

This organisation aims to improve quality of life for people with Down’s syndrome and other mental disabilities, enable their full inclusion in society and achieve the highest possible level of dignity, self-determination and wellbeing.

In order to raise funds to continue with new projects and efforts to bring information technology to the sight impaired, Fundación de Ciegos Manuel Caragol organised a golf tournament for this charity.
Fundación Renta Corporación sponsored the event, held in July at the Sant Cugat golf club.

This organisation works since 1999 to improve the quality of life for children with cancer, as well as the lives of their families.

Fundación Renta Corporación sponsored the annual 'Mulla't per l'esclerosi múltiple' ('Dive in for multiple sclerosis') campaign. This is an event that takes place in several Barcelona swimming pools which aims to raise funds to improve the quality of life of patients afflicted with this disease.
The event was held on July 2009 in 800 pools in the province of Barcelona.

Fero is a private Fundation
aim at promoting oncological research.
There are three main lines of action:
- · Development of oncological research.
- · Improving medical attention for oncological pacients.
- · Providing funding for research.

The aim is to help leukaemia patients and their families.
Fundación Renta Corporación is on of the main sponsors of the campaign launched by Fundación Carreras to recruit financial backers and new partners. This awareness campaign, with the motto “we want them back home”, received broad media coverage, in the press, in the airwaves and on TV. The campaign was a huge success and managed to increase membership considerably.

Lucha contra el Sida Fundation in a non-profit entity whose main aim is to provide assistance, research and education on the HIV infection. Last December 1st, 2009, Worl AIDS day the 2nd edition of “Demos la cara por el Sida” concert took place in Palau de la Música.
Fundación Renta Corporación sponsored a recital by Miguel Bosé in Palau de la Música on December 1st.

This is part of an international organisation called NPH which fosters over 3,100 orphan and abandoned children in Latin America at its foster homes in Mexico (1,000 children), Guatemala (350), Honduras (600), Nicaragua (400), El Salvador (250), Dominican Republic (160), Haiti (750), Peru (60) and Bolivia (60).
These foster children are given education, food, medical care, clothing and the warmth of a stable home where they can grow up with decency. The aim is to integrate all these children into society and the workplace in their own country, and help become community models.

La Fundación Renta Corporación has once again sponsored the calendar which the charity publishes every year.

This charity specialises in leisure and culture for 18 to 45’s with mental disability who need occasional and limited support. Fundación Renta Corporación supports their theatre classes.
Fundación Renta Corporación has supported the “Proyecto Informática”, a very important tool for people with mental handicap.

The aims of this charity and the Cuida'm (Care For Me) programme is to raise funds to help cover the cost of medical treatment in Spain for seriously ill, poverty-stricken children mainly from Africa.
Every year, the Barcelona Royal Polo Club organises the International Jumping contest, and hands over all 'children’s pony park' proceeds to Cuida’m. This an area, where children can enjoy a pony ride, was sponsored by Fundación Renta Corporación.

Social marginalisation in poor communities has produced a situation of unhealthy and unsafe living conditions.
The decent housing and hygiene not only affects quality of life but also can reduce illness and minimize health costs. In the same way, health facilities and infrastructure generate development, commerce and wealth directly affecting job creation.
A few examples from 2009 are:

Is a young organisation which grew from the experience of a Group of volunteers who were working with various religious orders in Ethiopia.
In 2009 we helped with building wells and water purification projects.

Vicente Ferrer is an NGO committed to transforming one of the poorest and neediest places in Inidia (Anantapur), particularly working with the more marginalised and excluded communities: the Dalits (untouchables), tribal groups and so-called backward castes.

Vita Mundi association develops health Networks in Guatemala,Ghana and Indian countries with serious problems in poverty, lack of health care, nutrition and education.
Fundación Renta Corporación has been involved in the building of basic sports facilities.

OA helps disadvantaged orphans and children in Ghana in many ways. Initially, OA started out developing projects to aid existing orphanages through individual analysis of their most serious issues. Now their work has expanded to include finding biological family members or other families within their community that can take care of these children.

This foundation focuses on villages in Senegal to support sustained development in the region.
Fundación Renta Corporación was involved in organising a golf tournament, covering 5 golf courses across Catalonia. Takings were used to build a women's development centre in the district of Darou Salam (Dakar, Senegal).

Sonrisas de Bombay promotes integration of orphans in the streets of Bombay (Mumbai)..
Fundación Renta Corporación has funded an education project for 50 children in the Karina orphanage in India.
We offer help and support to disadvantaged groups with specific nutrition or drinking water needs.
Access to clean drinking water is one of the most serious and recurring problems in developing countries, hence the importance of funding projects for well building and maintenance, improving access to fresh water and reducing the risk of infections.
Some 2009 examples of this type of Project are:

Cometas de Esperanza is an NGO operating in Santo Domingo, specifically in the Mosca district in Santiago de los Caballeros, and mainly endeavours to provide schooling for children in the area where it operates to ensure, on the one hand, that they get two meals a day, and on the other to prevent them from rummaging in the Rafey rubbish dumps with serious consequences to their health.
In 2009 we contributed to the extension of school for the BUZO children.

Is a lay non-profit organisation to promote the social and economic development of India’s most disadvantages communities, “the dalias”, a traditional tribal caste. From their Badalona (Barcelona) headquarters they have worked since 2005 on raising awareness of this caste, and with specific projects in Vendanthangal (the Tamil Nadu region of India).
In 2009 Fundación Renta Corporación supported project for organic agriculture and planting of fruit trees and vegetables in the zone, with a drip-feed watering systems.

Ghana una sonrisa is a non-governmental organisation (DNGO) driving development. Their job is to support existing rural African orphanages that get no aid at all.
We relieve in the universal right to a quality education as way to build a World which offers equal opportunities to everyone.
Some examples of 2009’s educational projects:

This NGO supports social engagement of youths in aiding the disadvantaged.
Through a commitment to serve and an open mind capable of teaching and learning from others, the social awareness of these youths contributes towards building a better society for the future.
A charity golf tournament was organised in June to raise funds for this charity, with Fundación Renta Corporación as a sponsor.

This is a centre that mainly schools children from various halfway houses in Barcelona.
For the last five years, Fundación Renta Corporación has funded the cost of major refurbishment work at the centre, helping to improve conditions for pupils.
And it organises a party for them with gifts on 6 January, which is when, according to Spanish tradition, the Three Wise Men bear gifts to children.

Fundación Balia works in disadvantaged communities to provide socio-educational spaces for children and youngsters at risk of social exclusion. Every year, schemes developed by Fundación Balia deal with 518 youngsters in Madrid’s Tetuán and Latina districts.
Fundación Renta Corporación has lent support to the “sport, Nature and Culture” Project.

Nadis is an organization which started in 1978 whose aim is to improve the quality of life of children and young people with serious motor disabilities and associated problems.
We are supporting the construction of a new building for “Sagrado Corazón” in Sarrià. The SCS School was in response to the risk Nadis may disappear and aims to maintain the option of a quality centre in human, professional and technical aspects.
Fundación Renta Corporación has always taken up the fight against discrimination and social inequalities. This has involved support for numerous projects aimed at groups at risk of social exclusion
Few examples of social assistance projects during 2009:

“Amigos de los mayores” in a non-profit voluntary association which helps old people living alone who due to help, age or financial situation are facing hardship. This includes 20% of the population in Spain over 65. The Federation focuses on meeting those needs that most affect the quality of life of the elderly: loneliness. During this year, 650 volunteers have provided company and friendship to 900 elderly people throughout Spain.
This year we helped in Madrid provided a decent Xmas dinner.

Aura is a pioneering project that aims to get disabled people back to work, offering employment with support, social integration, etc. So far, over 60 people have been employed by government agencies and private companies thanks to the training schemes it provides..

Is a non-profit organization that promotes and gives support to create places for people marginal by society as: homeless, drug addicts, AIS, ex-convicts, immigrants…or people in loneliness or with lack of identity, self-esteem by poverty, misery or slovenliness.

The Proyecto Gloria provides aid to the more disadvantaged groups, mainly seeking to support HIV-AIDS afflicted people and others who are socially excluded and in need by setting up and managing halfway houses.
Fundación Renta Corporación regularly works with Proyecto Gloria by supporting its programme to bring people back to society, work and family.

The Hermanitas de los Pobres continue the work started by Juana Jugan offering care and companionship for their final years to the elderly and needy. They offer a decent quality of life, meeting their needs in family surroundings in a respectful and dignified way.
